Runway Cycle 2 Auditions Are Open

In Eorzea and beyond one thing is known far and wide: glamour is the true endgame. Here at Eorzea’s Neo Talent Management we seek to not only develop one’s photography skills, but learn to strike a pose and sashay that runway as the true fashionista you’re all born to be. If you’ve ever been considering trying out but felt hesitant, well, henny now is your chance to strut your stuff and show us what you can do.

Announcing open auditions for our Runway Cycle. The rules are a little bit different, but in short the main focus here is all about you and how haute your couture really is. Each week you’ll be given a challenge which may include specific outfit accents, dye choices, or make-up choices you’ll need to follow. Other than that we want to see your interpretation of the theme. You’ll be encouraged to come up with cohesive outfits, strike a pose, and even go on location if you’re wanting the total experience. However, so long as the focus is all on you you’re doing it alright. To audition we will need three separate images of you (see example below; images shown as single image for the sake of Discord formatting). The first two are simple enough, but the third is a good taste of how the cycle works!

Bust Shot

A shot from the chest up. Show us your pretty face!

Casual Wear Shot

Show us what you’d wear off the battlefield.

Purple Reign

This is a glamour shot, meaning you’ll want to be in high fashion for this. Gowns, suits, get creative. Dress to the tens, because the nines just ain’t enough. For this shot you’ll need your entire outfit to be shades of purple either by way of the garment’s natural colour or utilizing dye. I highly recommend attention to accessories’ compliment, and perhaps even calling on our friend Jandelaine, the aesthetician. For this shot you must ensure your character is within an area of 1080×1920 pixels as this image will be used for the cast announcements.

Audition shots must be submitted to your host Ni’ko Shae via Discord DM (Ni’ko Shae#6839), DM via Twitter @EorzeasNeoTM, or e-mailed to eorzeasntm@gmail.com by midnight (CST) on Sunday, August 2nd, 2020 with the cast announcement on Friday, August 7th, 2020. You are also more than welcome to join our Discord server for updates, and to join in on the conversation: https://discord.gg/n4fe7VF

In the interest of fairness the core rules for this cycle prohibit the use of all third-party modifications, the FFXIV watermark must be visible on all entries, frames are not to be used, and all images are to be taken portrait-style. Contestants must remain as the same character/race/gender in each image as they were for their audition. Due to the nature of the competition all participants must be at least level 15 with dye access and the aesthetician unlocked.

This competition will last for eight weeks, and is non-elimination. Contestants will be given until midnight (CST) Thursday, September 3rd to submit all eight weeks’ worth of images with voting for the first week going live on Friday, September 4th. Each week up until midnight (CST) on Thursday contestants will be allowed to change their submission as judges’ opinions and advice may inspire otherwise. At the end of eight weeks the cumulative scores will be tallied, and our winner will be crowned!

Good luck! And don’t fudge it up.

Scenic Cycle – Mountains of the Mind – Results

And then something Tookish woke up inside him, and he wished to go ...

J.R.R. Tolkien – The Hobbit

We sent our photographers out into the world to find and capture grand images of grandeur. Mountains of their mind. Though all of the mountains spoke beauty and an intimidating presence to all, one in particular towered over the others.

Forthyn S’yel with “Might of Mountains”

We congratulate Forthyn with another well deserved win this week with your image.
Our judges likened this image to a scene from the Tolkien, and we could not agree more.

Come back Saturday for our fifth week of images!

Scenic Cycle 2 – Mountains of the Mind

“Those who travel to mountain-tops are half in love with themselves, and half in love with oblivion.” ― Robert Macfarlane, Mountains of the Mind: A History of a Fascination

This week, our photographers were challenged to go out and take a photo of mountains using the echo filter. As evidenced below, the echo filter can prove beautifully different depending on time of day and weather!

Judges have until Tuesday 10pm to judge the images and provide critiques!
For now, enjoy the Mountains of our Photographer’s minds.

Scenic Cycle Judges Announced!

“Judging you is what we do!” – Scenic Cycle Judges to the Scenic Cycle Photographers, probably.

ENTM is pleased to welcome to the Judging table the Official Judging panel for Scenic Cycle v. 2.0!

Katarh Mest
Katarh Mest has been a frequent judge, competitor, and host for ENTM since 2015. She finally won her S-Rank title with Runway Cycle in 2019. She is currently the webmaster of eorzeasntm.org and primary host of ENTM Classic Cycle. You can find her afk on Lamia server most days. She’s an avid weapon collector and aspires to have all of the base relics done by the end of 2020. Outside of FFXIV, she’s a business analyst and surprisingly a huge college football fan.

Rymmrael Bhaldraelwyn-
Rymmrael Bhaldraelwyn-An avid and longtime supporter of ENTM, Rymm is a double runner-up in Classic Cycles 10 and 12, a judge for the first ever Runway Cycle, and a member of ENTM’s promotional team. Any of her spare time not whiled away in gpose is spent writing for Aetherflow Media and weeping over the small size of her glamour closet.

Aeylria Windrunner
Aeylria Windrunner is fresh off a judging stint with Classic Cycle 12, and her first turn as a model in Fresh Faces Cycle where she placed 2nd. In real life she has a foundation in photography and design, which she honed throughout college in high school. She loves bold colors (especially pink!), kpop, and doggos of all kinds.

Elessia Sedai
Elessia Sedai is the founder of Fat Cat Chronicles. Ele has been a guest judge in previous cycles of ENTM and recently competed in cycle 12. A Gpose addict herself with a background in photography, she will use her discerning eye to hopefully transform these already talented photographers into screenshot artists.

Special thank you to you for agreeing to judge this cycle and keep me sane!
You’re the Best!

Love,
Ona

Classic Cycle 12 Winner

It is time, everyone! After eight grueling weeks of deadlines, frustration with battle poses, arguments about composition, and the occasional lucky shot, our judges and the community have combined their mathemagical powers to crunch out a winner.

To all of the models of Cycle 12: Thank you for putting yourself out there and sticking this through to the end. I know it takes a lot of confidence to submit your work for critiques, and sometimes the feedback you get isn’t always what you wanted to hear. But ENTM is all about doing your best, and making your best a little bit better every week. You are always part of the ENTM family, and welcome to come back and try again during our other cycles and our monthly challenges. I’ve seen the growth from all of you over the last two months, and I’m proud of what you all achieved.

This was one of our closest cycles yet, and it all came down to the final round. Even I didn’t know who was going to win until last night when I closed the votes!

The winner of Eorzea’s Neo Talent Management Classic Cycle 12, with a total score of 151.6 and the final two weekly wins under his belt, is Yomu Kazul! Yomu was also the community winner for Cycle 12, thanks to a strong series of 2nd and 3rd place finishes most weeks. Congratulations on becoming our newest S-Rank model, and the first male Au Ra to claim the title!

In second place, with a total score of 159.6, we have Rymmrael Bhaldraelwyn! Rymm gave Yomu a run for his money this entire cycle, with a weekly win during Round 4 (Wide Open Spaces) and strong finishes most other weeks.

In third place with a score of 175.0 on the dot, we have Elessia Sedai of the Fat Cat Chronicles, who also came in 2nd place overall for the community votes this cycle. Elessia won Round 5 (Day Job) and kept toe to toe with our other models every week this cycle.

All of the beautiful shots from Classic Cycle 12 will be permanently archived here on the website to inspire future models. In the meantime, if you haven’t auditioned for Scenic Cycle 2 yet, go ahead and send in your landscape photos!

The surprising conclusion to YouTube Cycle 3!

Hi everyone! We had a surprise present from our founder Rongi Pongi, who is thankfully alive and well and managed to find time to finish up YouTube Cycle 3’s grand finale video due to the lockdown in Japan.

It has been a long time coming, but we finally crowned a new S-Rank model today: Esmerelda! Esme finished YouTube 3 with no eliminations and four first place finishes.

Thank you to Rongi for finishing up YouTube Cycle 3.

The models will be settling into their dressing rooms and given a couple of weeks to plan out the next two months. In the meantime, I encourage everyone to stay fashionable and keep posting those screen shots everywhere!

ENTM Classic Cycle 12 Judges

Before we announce the cast, it’s time to introduce our judges! Critiques were not part of the first ENTM but they have been integral to each cycle ever since they were introduced. Our judges will appraise each shot independently and rank the shots according to strengths. Judges are asked not to confer with one another until all votes are cast – so if more than one judge notices something in your shot, it means they came to the conclusion on their own and should be treated as such.

The Judges for ENTM Classic Cycle 12 are:

Haila Wetyios of Balmung: Winner of Classic Cycle 10 and a frequent recurring judge ever since then. She has a spectacular eye for detail and an honest voice in her critiques. Haila most recently judged for Fresh Faces Cycle 1.

Malkovich Malkovich of Faerie: Winner of Instagram Cycle 2 and master of light and shadow. Most likely to be sharing cool stuff on our Screenshot Fun channel. Malkovich most recently judged for Runway Cycle 1.

Odharnait “Ona” Greene of Goblin: ENTM Monthly Challenge winner of 2018 and Community Winner of Tumblr Cycle 10. Ona is a frequent judge and likes to experiment with formats for her critiques, including once writing poems for every round of Scenic Cycle. Ona most recently judged Runway Cycle 1.

Aelyria Windrunner of Siren: Our Fresh Faces second place winner is also our freshest judge! Aelyria did magical things with her ultra wide screen monitor and played with composition in a unique way we hadn’t seen before in an ENTM cycle. We look forward to what she has to teach us in this new cycle!
