It’s Gonna Be May … Freestyle!

As a grown woman who takes care of herself I still find it difficult to admit I like certain artists, and for the longest time I would struggle to say I actually liked them. I posted on my timeline a photo of my husband and had a Justin Bieber song playing in the background and my best friend tried to shame me. Well I may not have a best friend anymore, but I sure am a Bieliber!

Which brings me to this week’s theme!

It’s a Hee hee of praise for our guilty pleasures!

It’s a week of Guilty Pleasures – Freestyle!

Models were told to MmmBop! their way into a shot where they proudly embody EVERYBODY (rock your body) of their Guilty Pleasure artist, book series, movie, or whatever would have Wingardium LeviOsa’d them into a Pit of Despair situation.

It is now the judges turn to decide whose guilty pleasure is the guiltiest.

Baby, You Were Born this Way!

Lady Gaga would be proud this week of our models and their return home to snap shots with their kinfolk.
It was awesome to see each model’s take on the theme and how they used the tight frame of the Polaroid frame to build their shot.
Some models played tricks, some danced, and some spent lighthearted hours with their kin.

But the winner of Round 1 of Fresh Faces 2 took the theme and PLASTERED it THREE SHEETS TO THE WIND! Or at least their friend did!

for the shot that documented her friends drunken escapades!

What did the judges say?

“What’s great about this shot is not only is your character the star, but we also have this great scene playing out behind you.”

“The waist up was the right choice for this shot, letting your background do the heavy lifting for the story while you smile for the camera up close.”

What does Ona say?

“Ona would fully support this selfie, and probably would find herself taking the role of the drunken friend.”

Now that we have one week under our belts, the models will be submitting their Week 2 shots for review, community voting, and judging and the newest photos will be available to the public on Saturday! We CANNOT wait to see what they continue to bring to the table!

Baby You Were Born This Way – “Selfie” Style

We Kick Off Fresh Faces 2.0 with a round sending our models back “home” to snap a Polaroid with their kinsfolk.
When you are the warrior of light, you sometimes have to revisit your roots and remember where you came from. Cause Baby, you were born this way.

Though the models had “Selfie” identified in the “Style” candid photos were also acceptable! They just had to use the Polaroid frame to capture their shots! Take some time to vote for your favorites!

All Stars Round 8 Winners

Last week’s challenge was to go hang out with a new beast tribe. We had our models frolicking with the pixies, tinkering with the dwarves, or chilling with the Nu Mou. Voting was pretty tight, but the top three from last week were Malkovich, Elessia, and Yomu!

Host Katarh is currently doing a lot of spreadsheet math to tabulate the overall winner of All Stars. Please watch this space for updates sometime today!

All Stars Round 7 Winners

Sorry for the delay in getting this up – work consumed both models and host alike in the last 24 hours. For Round 7, we sent our models down to the dungeons. (Or Raids. Or other Duties As Assigned.) The three models who gave us the best shot this week were Ninifipsi, Stephen, and Yomu! Congratulations, and I hope you all got out of there alive.

We have one more week of All Stars before we determine who the grand SS rank winner is. (Who am I kidding, all these models are already SS rank.) We also have news about our next upcoming cycle soon – so for those of you who have been itching to get in on the ENTM action, please stay tuned!

All Stars Round 7: Raidn’ Tombs

Round 7 of course must pay homage to Cycle 7, which itself was a fun set of recycled themes as a bit of a retrospective. Of those, Raidn’ Tombs has been a perennial favorite, in which we ask our models to go into any dungeon and give us their best freestyle shot. For All Stars, we opened this up to any duty that could be accessed via Duty Finder, since there’s a lot of really great locations that aren’t technically dungeons that the models wanted to explore. (Although I think we’re all still too traumatized for anyone to have included Delibrum Reginae yet.)

All Stars Round 6 Winners

Last week we asked our All Stars to push the boundaries of fashion (and good taste) and show themselves rocking a glamour that wouldn’t normally be a staple in a fashionista’s wardrobe. Voting was pretty tight this round, but the top three this week in no particular order were Ninifipsi, Forthyn, and Escher!

One thing all the judges this week seemed to agree is that confidence in their choices played a huge part in making these outfits work. Congratulations to the top three for pulling it off successfully!

All Stars Round 6: Ugly Pretty

Our models know fashion up and down the block, but sometimes the best way to make a statement is to break the rules. This week our models were tasked with making an outfit that is “ugly pretty” and putting together a makeover look that would make most people cringe. Take ugly, but make it “fashion,” to paraphrase the queen Tyra.

Here’s our models showing off their delightfully hideous ensembles. (Please note that Haila has dropped out from active participation and will not be available for voting, but will continue on our back end as a judge.)

All Stars Round 5 Winners!

Our model’s time taking a break at the Gold Saucer has come to a close. I hope they didn’t lose too much money…. (My guess is Escher definitely won more than he lost.)

For this week, in no particular order, the three strongest shots were: Escher, Malkovich, and Elessia!
